Elizabeth Hautman has been, “putting the second amendment first,” since 2012. It all started with the urge to effectively protect herself and family if they were to get into a ‘sticky situation.’  The vulnerability of being alone with a stroller brought that issue right to the forefront.  One firearms class led to another and now, as the owner of Colorado Boots Firearms Instruction, Elizabeth has worked with and trained over 1,000 students.

Additionally, Elizabeth is a frequent guest instructor on the Self Defense Gun Stories podcast.  Bringing the second amendment to life by working with the new or timid shooter is Elizabeth’s specialty.  She understands how overwhelming firearms can be to a novice and frequently reminds her students that we practice and train for the possibility of a violent encounter, not the probability.

Her credentials include:  NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer, Project Appleseed Rifle Instructor, The Well Armed Woman Pistol Instructor, and a certified United States Concealed Carry Association Instructor.

Elizabeth also trains in personal and professional situational awareness.

She can be reached at www.coboots.com.
